The House That Jack Built (2021)

This was something I wanted to do during the summer break. Setting a nursery rhyme to my own style using many of the techniques I used during my illustration course at UCA Farnham. Primarily because I was still on that buzz from The Different Duckling. I wanted to take a more comedic direction with this compared to the more moral-driven story that was The Different Duckling. The cow in particular, I don't know what it is about the cow, but for some reason he was the most fun to draw which is why I wanted to highlight him. The colours I think are my only gripe, they look too muted for my liking, a brighter palette would've really lifted this one looking back on it, but I think it was more of a test to try and be a bit more quirky to show more variety in tone. This was still a fun project to do.
